INTERNET SAFETY / E-SAFETY
1. Before starting the project, parents were informed about the project, its objectives, activities, and the digital platforms that would be used throughout the project.
2. Parents were informed that they would be able to follow our online activities and observe the collaboration and interaction among the project partners.
3. It was clearly stated that the photos and videos taken during project activities would only be accessible to project partners within the TwinSpace environment.
4. Parents were informed that videos uploaded to YouTube would be set as unlisted, meaning that they would not be publicly searchable and could only be accessed through shared links. These videos would primarily be used within the Project TwinSpace. It was also explained that identifiable close-up photographs of children would not be used and that no photographs or videos of students would be published or used without parental permission.
5. Parents were informed that social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter/X, as well as blogs and project pages, could be used for the dissemination of project activities. Parents who wished to do so could follow these platforms. It was emphasized that student privacy, online safety, and e-safety rules would be strictly observed on all dissemination platforms.
6. Following this information process, written parental consent forms were obtained from the parents of participating students.
7. The TwinSpace environment was introduced to students and parents, and information was provided about its purpose, features, and safe use.
8. Students were informed about responsible internet use, online privacy, appropriate online behaviour, and essential e-safety rules.
9. As part of our e-safety activities, project partners carried out awareness-raising activities in their schools. Informative presentations on safe internet use and e-safety were delivered to students and parents in accordance with online safety principles.
